An alleged data breach reveals the personal information of 12.8 million users circulating on the dark web.
According to reports from Daily Dark Web, Binance allegedly experienced a data breach exposing the personal information of nearly 13 million users of the exchange. The data, which reportedly appeared on the dark web, is said to include names, email addresses, phone numbers, and residential details.
A group of cybercriminals called Greavys is said to be behind the alleged breach, with the data being sold in blocks or in full to interested buyers via Telegram. However, authorities and Binance have not officially confirmed the authenticity of the breach. On the contrary, a spokesperson for Binance denied the allegations:
“This is false. Our security team has looked into the claims and we can confirm that this is not a Binance data leak.”
