According to a study by Grayscale, 26% of U.S. investors with assets over one million dollars already own cryptocurrencies, while 38% are planning to invest.
A recent survey by Grayscale reveals growing interest in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies among high-net-worth investors in the United States. The study, which involved over 5,000 American adults, highlights how the sector is gaining legitimacy in the most exclusive financial circles.
Peter Mintzberg, CEO of Grayscale, stated:
The survey revealed that 26% of investors with more than one million dollars in investable assets already own cryptocurrencies.
About 78% of cryptocurrency-owning investors over 50 are drawn to Bitcoin mainly due to concerns about the economic climate, viewing it as an effective hedge against inflation. In contrast, younger investors see cryptocurrencies simply as a standard investment option.
“More than a third (36%) of these high-net-worth investors are paying more attention to Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies due to geopolitical tensions, inflation, and the weakening of the U.S. dollar,” according to the Grayscale study.
