The japanese vehicle giant starts accepting bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies through a partnership with FCF Pay
Vehicle giant Honda recently announced the acceptance of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies for its products in partnership with FCF Pay, a popular payment solutions provider.
The role of FCF Pay
FCF Pay is a digital payment solutions company based in Tokyo that supports 46 different cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin. They have also recently introduced some memecoins into their portfolio, including Shiba Inu, Pepe Coin, and Floki Inu.
Other automotive companies and cryptocurrency
In the landscape of automotive payments, Honda’s entry into the cryptocurrency market undoubtedly represents a significant step towards opening new opportunities. But Honda is not the first automotive company to announce its opennes to cryptocurrencies as a payment method.
Prior to Honda, Tesla, the California-based electric vehicle company led by Elon Musk, had begun to accept Bitcoin as a payment method for some of its products. However, the company then suspended its acceptance of Bitcoin due to “concerns about the environmental sustainability of the cryptocurrency“, thus showing little knowledge of the subject.
