The new non-custodial mining pool completes the implementation of Bitcoin Knots v25.1 and officially begins filtering Inscriptions transactions.
In a post on X, developer Luke Dashjr argued that the Inscriptions are ‘exploiting a vulnerability in Bitcoin Core‘ to spam data on the blockchain.
After the launch last week, Ocean, the startup co-founded by Dashjr, announced that it has completed the integration of the latest version of Bitcoin Knots. The update aims to put an end to what the developer considers a vulnerability, exploited to clog the blockchain with unwanted data.

Dashjr then discussed the attempts made to address this issue within his Bitcoin Knots software, revealing that the alleged vulnerability has been successfully resolved in Knots v25.1. He also emphasized that despite the very recent release of version v26, Bitcoin Core remains a vehicle to enable the approval of inscriptions.
