BTC Map provides businesses and users with an easy way to report locations where Bitcoin payments are accepted. The increase in activities may be partly attributed to the fact that many users could more easily report businesses accepting Bitcoin.

Countries with the highest adoption

According to BTC Map, the areas with the highest concentration of merchants accepting Bitcoin are Central America and South America. Even in the United States and Europe, the number of merchants accepting Bitcoin is quite high.

In Southeast Asia, the Philippines stand out for having the highest number of merchants accepting Bitcoin. On the contrary, countries like China, India, and Russia show an extremely low number of businesses accepting Bitcoin as a payment method.
