The presidential candidate for the upcoming elections, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., reaffirms his position in favor of Bitcoin and accuses Congress members of being “paid” to ban it.

In an interview with CNBC, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a presidential candidate, expressed his positive views on Bitcoin once again. The candidate emphasized the importance of Bitcoin as a tool to counter centralized financial system control and as a defense against inflation.

As an example of the risks associated with centralized financial systems, Kennedy recalled the episode of the Canadian Freedom Convoy in 2022, during which the government froze the bank accounts of peaceful protesters.

Kennedy and his opposition to CBDCs

In addition to his support for Bitcoin, Kennedy reiterated his strong opposition to the introduction of central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), raising concerns about their potential for mass surveillance and intrusion into the financial privacy of US citizens.

Alongside former President Donald Trump, Kennedy has pledged to thwart any attempt by the Federal Reserve to issue a digital dollar.

Accusations against Congress members

During the interview, RFK Jr. accused members of Congress of “being paid to ban Bitcoin” by large banks and financial institutions that profit from inflation and their monopoly over the financial system.

Throughout the interview, RFK Jr. also stated that the transactional freedom offered by Bitcoin is as important as freedom of expression.
