After the defeat in the English court, Craig Wright withdraws the lawsuit against the 12 Bitcoin Core developers.
According to the statement from the Bitcoin Legal Defense Fund, Craig Wright has decided to withdraw his legal case against a group of 12 Bitcoin developers. This decision puts an end to a series of legal proceedings Wright had initiated against the developers through his company Tulip Trading Ltd.
The statement claims:
“Wright’s discontinuance brings an end to a nearly decade-long campaign of harassment and intimidation and marks a major win for the Bitcoin developers and open source software in general.”
In 2021, Craig Wright’s company, Tulip Trading, sued 12 Bitcoin Core developers, requesting that they rewrite Bitcoin’s code to allow the company access to 111,000 bitcoins, the private keys of which were allegedly stolen from Wright’s computer.
