BlackRock’s IBIT fund becomes the largest spot Bitcoin ETF in the United States, surpassing Grayscale’s GBTC: nearly $20 billion in assets under management.
On May 28th, BlackRock‘s IBIT ETF surpassed Grayscale‘s GBTC to become the largest spot Bitcoin ETF in the United States. During the trading day, IBIT saw an inflow of $102.5 million, bringing the total assets under management to nearly $20 billion. In contrast, Grayscale’s GBTC experienced an outflow of $105.2 million, with total assets under management of $19.7 billion.
Currently, the IBIT fund holds 288,670 bitcoins, while GBTC holds a total of 287,450 bitcoins.
In recent days, BlackRock has integrated IBIT into several of its strategic investment funds, including the Strategic Income Opportunities Fund (BSIIX) and the Strategic Global Bond Fund (MAWIX).
Last week, ETFs surpassed the 850,000 bitcoin mark, exceeding the previous high set in early April.
