Starting from January 29, Google will allow the publication of ads related to products and financial instruments associated with Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.

Six years after Google’s ban on all cryptocurrency-related product ads, the tech giant will allow advertisers offering investment products in digital assets in the United States to promote their financial instruments on its platform.

On December 6, 2023, Google modified its policies regarding the promotion of cryptocurrency-related advertisements. Starting from January 29, 2024, the company will allow the publication of ads related to Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Initially, this policy change will only apply to the United States and will later be extended globally.

Google has stated that all advertisers must adhere to local laws in the territories where their ads are being promoted.

In 2018, Google, YouTube, and Facebook announced the ban on all cryptocurrency-related ads to prevent deceptive promotions and scams.
