FutureBit unveils the new Apollo III home miner

The new system combines high-performance mining and full Bitcoin node in a desktop device with 3nm ASICs.

FutureBit launched the Apollo III, a new home Bitcoin mining system that combines a high-performance miner and a full Bitcoin node in a single desktop device. The system is built around next-generation 3-nanometer American ASICs and a custom controller developed in-house.

The Apollo III represents the first Bitcoin ASIC designed in the United States paired with a domestically built hardware platform in a consumer desktop form factor. The device offers up to 18 TH/s in Turbo mode and efficiency up to 15 J/TH in Eco mode, with an integrated full node and solo mining capabilities. The desktop-class controller includes 8 ARM cores, 8 GB of RAM, and a 2 TB SSD.

“In 2024, our customers mined one of the first sovereign solo blocks of the modern era, sending shockwaves through the industry and proving that industrial scale was not a prerequisite for meaningful participation in Bitcoin,” said founder John Stefanopoulos. “Apollo III expands that possibility. Nearly 20 terahashes of efficient and accessible hash power in the hands of individuals strengthens the decentralization that Bitcoin was built for.”

Designed to run continuously at home or in the office, the Apollo III consumes about as much power as standard household electronic devices. The device can operate as a personal computing solution for Bitcoin infrastructure, allowing individuals to run both a miner and a node without relying on industrial-scale operations.
