Trezor identified unauthorized access to its support portal at 22:20 UTC on January 17, 2024. The breach occurred on a third-party support portal used by Trezor to assist customers. The company promptly initiated an investigation in close collaboration with its third-party service provider. Users potentially affected by the incident were notified through an official communication.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the attacker contacted 41 users via email, attempting to gain access to the seed phrase of their wallets.
Trezor assured the affected users that their digital assets remain safe and are not impacted by this incident.
